Welcome to Waihiga Coffee Estate, a place where history, nature, and passion for coffee converge. Nestled in the serene and scenic landscapes of Nyeri, Kenya, this family-owned, single-origin grower has been a cornerstone of quality coffee production since its founding in 1952.
The Land and Its Legacy
Waihiga Coffee Estate's story is one of growth and dedication. The farm began with just 100 trees on a half-acre plot and has since expanded to approximately 9,000 trees across 10 acres of land. The estate is located in Kianjogu village, Karatina, with altitudes ranging from 1700-1800 ASL, benefiting from an average annual rainfall of 1500MM and an average annual temperature of 25.6°C.
